Something my old psych said to me that’s stuck to me. It’s ‘the sky can exist without the clouds, but the clouds can’t exist without the sky’.
In other words - your mental illness may feel like it’s controlling you but it’s the clouds & you’re the sky. You’re bigger than it, no matter how big it feels & how in control you think it may be x
“tea is just leaf water!” “yeah well coffee is just bean water!” wow, it’s. it’s like everything is made of things. this door is just wood rectangle. this poster is just ink paper. this lemonade is just lemon water. wow, it’s like you can combine ingredients to make things that are more enjoyable than the initial parts of the equation. sure is a magical world we live in

Do you want to avoid people? Drink water. Not only will you be hydrated, you don’t have to talk to people while drinking water, then later you’ll have to pee, which means you get to avoid people even more
